Today is the Day: Help Us Create Chadlyn’s Victory
Today is the final day of our Paws for a Child 2026 campaign, and we are entering the final hours to help make Chadlyn’s dream of a seizure response service dog a reality.
Over the last few weeks, you have helped us share Chadlyn’s story, learn more about epilepsy, and understand the incredible impact a service dog can have for someone navigating life with seizures.
For Chadlyn and her family, this partnership represents so much more than a dog. It represents a greater sense of safety, confidence, independence, and peace of mind. It means having a trusted companion by her side who can provide support through the uncertainty of epilepsy and help her feel less alone.
Chadlyn’s mom, Nikki, shared that one of her biggest fears is Chadlyn feeling alone during a seizure. A seizure response dog would provide an added layer of support, helping Chadlyn navigate everyday moments with more confidence and helping her family breathe a little easier.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we have up to $10,000 in matching funds available, meaning every gift made today can go even further toward Chadlyn’s goal.
We are now at $28,088 raised toward our $30,000 goal, leaving just $1,912 to go to make this life-changing partnership possible.
We are in the final stretch! Every donation, every share, and every person who helps spread Chadlyn’s story brings us closer to crossing the finish line. With only hours left, your support could be the difference in helping us reach this goal for Chadlyn by 11:59 PM tonight.
Help us create Chadlyn’s victory.

The Newest Members of the Project 2 Heal
Family Have Arrived
Montana and Billy’s puppies are now 4 weeks old, and these little ones are growing, exploring, and starting to show their unique personalities.
Meet the newest pups: Trace, Hero, Jojo, Marce, Bunker, and Lego
While they may look like tiny bundles of fluff right now, every Project 2 Heal puppy begins a journey with an important purpose.
Through careful breeding, early development, socialization, and lots of love, these puppies are given the foundation they need to become confident future service dogs.
At this stage, they are learning how to navigate new experiences, build confidence, and understand the world around them. These early moments help prepare them for the important work they may one day do.
And we have to ask… could one of these pups become the next Paws for a Child 2026 service dog?
As we work toward providing Chadlyn with her seizure response service dog, we’re reminded that every life-changing partnership starts somewhere. It starts with a puppy, a purpose, and a community willing to show up.
And we need YOUR help raising the next generation of service dogs!
Puppy raising is one of the most important pieces of the journey. Raisers help puppies gain confidence, learn manners, experience the world, and build the skills needed before they move into advanced training.
From socialization adventures to everyday training moments, puppy raisers help shape the future of a dog who may one day change someone’s life.
If you’re looking for a meaningful way to make an impact, puppy raising could be your opportunity to help change a life, just like Chadlyn’s.

A Full Circle Moment: Chance’s Journey Continues
Every service dog story starts with a moment that changes everything.
For Joy, that moment began one year ago when our community came together through Paws for a Child 2025 to help provide her with a service dog of her own. Today, we get to see that dream becoming a reality.
Joy recently had a special bonding session with Chance, the incredible pup who is on his way to becoming her future service dog.
Chance has officially started his formal service dog training, where he is continuing to build the skills, confidence, and partnership needed for the important work ahead.
Every training session, new experience, and moment of connection brings him closer to becoming the trusted partner Joy deserves.
But this story is even more full circle than we could have imagined.
Chance’s training journey is being guided by the incredible passion and experience of Samantha Pressley, who knows firsthand the life-changing impact a service dog can have.
Samantha received her first service dog, Moonpie, as a child through Project 2 Heal. Moonpie was more than a diabetic alert dog. She was Samantha’s best friend, protector, and the reason Samantha discovered her passion for training dogs and creating the same kind of life-changing partnerships that changed her own life.
Today, Samantha is helping continue that legacy by training Chance under the guidance of our Director of Training, Rebecca Golian.
From Moonpie’s impact on Samantha, to Samantha helping prepare Chance for Joy, to the community coming together for Chadlyn’s journey, this is what Paws for a Child is all about.
One partnership creates another. One life changed creates a ripple effect that reaches so many more.
As we continue our Paws for a Child 2026 campaign, we’re reminded that Chadlyn’s future service dog starts with the same hope, dedication, and community support.
Help us create the next life-changing partnership and bring Chadlyn one step closer to her seizure response service dog.
Creating Moments of Connection and Calm
Our Stress Down Day program continues to bring joy, comfort, and a much-needed pause to workplaces and schools throughout our community.
Recently, our pups visited:
• The Mercer Voluntary Benefits Summit with Wagmo
• Hazel Health Conference
• Novant Health Matthews
• Robinson Bradshaw
• Marvin Ridge High School
• Duke Energy Foundation
• Wells Fargo
• Cousins Properties
Each visit is a reminder of the incredible impact animals can have on our mental well-being. A few minutes with a furry friend can create connection, reduce stress, and bring a little extra happiness to the day.
These moments are made possible because of people who believe in the power of dogs to change lives.
Whether it’s helping a child gain independence through a service dog or bringing comfort to someone during a busy day, every interaction matters.
