One Puppy at a Time. Founded in 2011, the mission of Project 2 Heal is to reduce the cost and time it takes to place a service dog with a person in need. We accomplish this by nurturing, socializing and training purposely-bred Labrador Retriever puppies, for donation, to carefully selected service dog organizations. Today, Project 2 Heal donates Labrador Retrievers trained for service to more than 20 service dog organizations. Approximately 75% of Project 2 Heal puppies are successful with a person in need, compared to the 1 in 8 success rate of dogs taken from shelters.   [Previous Post](https://project2heal.org/blog/healing-ptsd-for-combat-veterans) [View All](https://project2heal.org/blog) [Next Post](https://project2heal.org/blog/essential-puppy-training-tips) ### Related Posts [![How to Teach Your Dog to Sit](https://project2heal.org/hubfs/944167_9181cb9a48ea4065a02a29c082010e92~mv2.webp)](https://project2heal.org/blog/how-to-teach-your-dog-to-sit) 2 min read [Training Tips](https://project2heal.org/blog/tag/training-tips) ##### [How to Teach Your Dog to Sit](https://project2heal.org/blog/how-to-teach-your-dog-to-sit) By [Project 2 Heal](https://project2heal.org/blog/author/project-2-heal) on September 27, 2021 Why Teach Your Dog to Sit?
